She uses interdisciplinary methods, focusing on laboratory analysis and experimental reconstruction of archaeological finds. She has taken part in international projects and gained experience in Germany, the USA, and Kuwait. She has participated actively on scientific events and lectured on archaeological textiles at universities in Bratislava, Nitra, and Trnava. One of her key projects is the study of the Germanic princely grave from Poprad-Matejovce, leading to numerous publications and the co-authored exhibition “The Prince from Poprad and His Tomb” at the Podtatranské Museum in Poprad. She is a member of the Archaeological Textiles Review scientific committee and the Archaeological Leather Group. Since 2005, she has actively participated in the NESAT conference. She has received the Slovak Academy of Sciences award for science popularisation and two Seal of Excellence certificates for her Horizon 2020 MSCA Individual Fellowships proposals.
Mgr. Lucia Benediková, PhD.
She specializes in the period from the Late Bronze Age to the La Tène period in the northern part of the Western Carpathians. She has conducted numerous field excavations in Slovakia and participated in several international missions (Turkey, Kuwait).

Within the PERTEX project, she is responsible for collecting and archaeologically evaluating data from the Late Bronze Age and Early Hallstatt period. Her work builds on previous research carried out under the APVV project VIZIA, which focused on the use of natural resources in prehistoric societies.

She studies animal remains from archaeological sites and the relationship between humans and animals in the past. She has participated in international projects in Turkey, Greece, and Kuwait.

He is a co-supervisor of the Classical Archaeology programme at Trnava University. Between 2022 and 2026, within the APVV project at the IA SAS, he has been studying the elites of the Roman Period among the Central European Suebi. This research is further developed in the PERTEX project through reconstructions of Germanic dress based on finds of fibulae and belt fittings.

Within the PERTEX project, she focuses on evaluating artefacts related to textile production from the site of Liptovská Sielnica–Liptovská Mara. The aim is to determine the chronology of pottery from individual features, which will allow for a more precise dating of the studied textile tools. At the same time, this will help to identify textile production areas, analyse their interconnections, and compare them within both regional and broader contexts.

He has conducted many significant field studies, the most important being in Cinobaňa, distr. Poltár (burial ground of the Piliny and Kyjatice cultures). In the project, he focuses mainly on textile tools from settlements and caves of the Piliny and Kyjatice cultures in southern central and eastern Slovakia, dating from the Middle Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age.
